Toyota to Partner with Rapids for the 2022 season
Watertown NY. The Watertown Rapids have prided themselves on working with local businesses in Upstate New York, since 2018 through the Northern New York Community Foundation. This season we had the opportunity to sit down with Waite Toyota a member of The Upstate New York Toyota Dealers Association and are happy to announce our new “Toyota Field at the Alex T.Duffy Fairgrounds” Rapids General Manager Nicholas Czerow said, “We are happy to welcome a new community partner into our Rapids family and look forward to the season with Toyota.” This partnership will allow Rapids to host a fireworks event on July 3rd which is new to the Rapids schedule. Mr. Barry Waite representative from the Upstate New York Toyota Dealers Association and owner of the Waite Toyota dealership said, “We are happy to be firmly rooted amongst our community and now are pleased to have the opportunity to create a relationship with the Watertown Rapids.” You can pick up your opening day tickets at the Waite Toyota dealership on Outer Washington Street in Watertown.
Our Director of Baseball Operations Nate Matteson shared our brand new mascot for the 2022 season “WAZOO The Bleacher Creature”. Wazoo will be around the stadium periodically throughout the games entertaining the fans. The Rapids also had the pleasure to unveil our brand new jerseys thanks to our friend at Laura Whitney State Farm. Nate Matteson said “ We are grateful that we have the opportunity to sport these new jerseys thanks to Laura Whitney at State Farm.” The Rapids are looking forward to kicking the season off on June 2nd.
