WATERTOWN, NY – The Rapids are hosting Hospice Benefit Night Presented by Steve Yelle. Yelle is a member of the board for Hospice and found a way to tie in his passion for community service with a baseball game. For the game on Saturday June 25th, fans will be able to purchase fundraising tickets where half of each ticket benefits Hospice. Those tickets can be purchased online or at the box office by mentioning you are buying for Hospice. The Rapids are taking on the Oneonta Outlaws at 6:30pm Saturday Night. The doors open at 5:30pm.
Hospice of Jefferson County also has a table at the game where you will receive a plush therapy stuffed animal for a $5 donation. Hospice’s therapy pet BoSox, short for Boston Red Sox will also be making an appearance to greet fans and throw out the ceremonial first pitch along with Tom Deuson and Shawn Massey.
Waffle Overload, a food truck will be on hand for fans to buy gourmet treats from throughout the night.
Steve Yelle has also provided prizes for fans to earn by competing in financial planning trivia and through a relay race at the end of the game.
